Doughnuts

A couple of days ago I went out to do a little sweater weather shopping with my friend in a couple of thrift stores... cue the shopping adventure music:

First we stopped for some nourishment at a gourmet doughnut store, (could it get any better?) Doughnut Plant, which is rumored to be the best doughnut place in the city. With doughnut themed benches and walls, and intriguing flavours like crème brûlée, I was tempted to spend my entire day there, eating.

My friend and I decided to go with the more-classic Vanilla Bean doughnut, and their special, Pineapple and Rosemary.  To my delight, the pineapple and rosemary flavor was not overwhelming at all, but mixed in beautifully with the sweetness and chewy-ness of the doughnut itself. The Vanilla Bean, however, was a million times better. It had all the power of a glazed-melt-in-your-mouth-doughnut, with a little sweet kick of vanilla in the center.

Then we headed to the thrift stores. I managed to snap a picture of a particularly beautiful rack of vintage clothes before putting my camera away in order to browse.
I came out of the experience with two fantastically oversized sweaters and a puffer/corduroy jacket, all from the men's section! (Never underestimate the men's and boy's sections, they often have the best oversized/shrunken stuff!)

P.S: Forgot to mention that on our way to one of the stores, we ran into SETH MEYERS AND HIS CAMERA CREW! They were running down the street filming stuff, so we couldn't get anything signed, but I took this awful picture of the back of their heads!
