I See You
I'm baaack!
I had to skip out for a little bit because I was at summer camp, where no electronics were allowed. Now that I am back, and faced with the keyboards, and unlimited time wasters, I am actually a bit melancholy. I don't enjoy social media/media in general all that much, so it's strange to be back, typing away. While I was away I did quite a lot of art, which I thought I would share with you all.
You know when you enter a room, and just feel like it is a magical place?
I walked into the art studio at my camp, and got that feeling, and then I felt super inspired to do art.
Here is a picture of my desk, which I (at first) spent half an hour organizing so the picture would have an organized-clutter feel. Then I realized that the picture I had taken of the regular, messy desk looked better.

At the end of camp, everyone shared their work in a gallery-type way, and I showed the watercolors that you can see unfinished above at the top left, as well as an interactive piece, (called I See You) which as i've wrote before, is one of my favorite types of art. I created a bunch of different pairs of glasses out of different materials (paper, cardboard, wire, etc) and each of the pairs corresponded with a different emotion. I had people try on the glasses, write about their experience in them, and then find out what they signified. This art project for me signified empathy, and how we should all try and look from another person's perspective before judging them. The emotions I used were depression, jealousy, confusion, happiness and blindness. Here is a picture I took of the exhibit before the rest of camp came in to look at the art we all did:
