Alice's Tea Cup

It was the day before school was going to start. Our lives seemed like they were at turning points, like they often do on special firsts: first day of the new year, first day of summer vacation, first day of being a certain age, et cetera.
Certain days are more poignant than others, just because they make you very aware of the fact that a new chapter in your life is about to begin. This was one of those days. I messaged Gabby and Hayley, requesting that they come to a late tea at Alice's. Alice's tea cup is a restaurant with the best kind of charm-- a magical kind of charm.

They have a tea list that is insanely extensive, mismatched tea cups, Alice in Wonderland quotes on the walls, and mason jars as water glasses. We ordered soothing teas, so we could get some rest for school, and a tea platter that had their AMAZING scones, along with a sandwich and a cookie platter with a lemon tart.

Below on the left you can see their pumpkin, four berry, buttermilk and and some kind of chocolate one that I can't remember the name of, and on the right our dessert plate. My lovely friends dealt with me as I squealed every five seconds about how much fun I was having and took pictures with my phone. I drank an entire pot of tea, and tested how much liquid my bladder could hold, we chatted about school and old friends and munched on our mouthwatering treats.

At the end of the night I was sleepy and full. The new school year started on a sweet note.
