I'm Baaaaaaaackkk

Hey Internet!
Ok so I realize I have not been online since February. This is 12% due to computer problems, 60% because of the rigors of the IB program, and 28% because my ideas have been non-existent due to lack of time available to do anything interesting.
However, in my self-made windows of procrastination I have been planning food excursions, museum visits, and book reviews. I have also been envisioning a new look for the webpage...suffice it to say that this blog is a work in progress (as always).

MEANWHILE, I had two weeks of spring break recently, which gave me the amazing opportunity to go to Mexico with my family, come up with some things to tell you about, and take a BUNCH of photos. I have a list of things to write, a brain well stocked on sleep (not for long), and I will do my best to get through the rest of junior year while also posting WAY more. I know these promises have been made before, and have then been rapidly broken...
Sorryyyyyy

Here are some photos of the cloudscape that I took from my plane window on my point-and-shoot. Looking out the airplane window always makes me equally exhilarated and anxious because it is beautiful, unknown, dreamlike and SO FAR UP! I'm not afraid of heights, but planes prove to me just how inconsequential I am, how big the world is, and how alone I am as a human in the sky. Even though there are people sitting next to me, looking out on the barren sky freaks me out with loneliness.

Even though my eyes tell me that clouds are water vapor that can't sustain life, I imagine that there are creatures living in the them. These creatures appear when no one is looking, jumping from puff to puff, entering the clouds as if they are municipal buildings or homes. They are our lost loved ones, our wildest dreams, angels, or things we can't even comprehend.
I always end up thinking--there has to be more going on here than what I can see!
